How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4425938 / 5765M432-60 Oven Control Panel Touch Pad

It took us over three hours to fix it. The problems included how to slide the oven out 8 inches. Our oven did not look like the one shown on YouTube because the screws were hidden from view. Also we were unable to detach the control panel easily because of the short lead from the attached wires. It was a challenging experience but we were rewarded with a working control panel! 

Replaced it 

Replaced touch pad 

Followed what other people had posted for instructions and replaced the control panel.. 

I replaced the front control panel. 4 Philips head screws to remove oven from the wall 12 inches. Used socket set to remove 4 small screws on each side that held panel. Pulled up on two black tabs holding thin flat clear connectors. Removed flat connectors from message board. Used same size socket to remove 4 screws separateing control panel from the silver bracket holding the message board. Replaced everything in reverse order. 

Easy fix. Hope it holds as this model is notorious for keypad failures. 

Very easy fix to remove and replace control panel. You tube has a video for those that don't know how. Anyone can do it. Make sure the ribbons are in place properly and it will fix your problem. Appliance parts pros shipped the part immediately. I had it in a day. I recommend APP . 

I replaced the entire control panel, ...like many, it was fairly simple, only a 30- 60 minute job, took as much time to get the oven out of the wall, as it did to put on the new control panel. After connecting the new system leads, it fired up good as new- I hope this one lasts a bit longer, as the first one barely went 10 years- thought Maytag would have had better electronics. I expect elements to burn out in advance of electronic failures.
