How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6016800 / WPW10195840 Dishwasher Adjuster Positioner

Followed youtube and it was a piece of cake! 

I bought the dishwasher adjuster/positioner because one was missing from the upper rack on the machine in the house we moved into. When it arrived from Appliance Parts Pro, I followed the video to replace it. However, in removing the Upper Rack Adjuster to replace the dishwater adjuster/positioner I broke the Upper Rack Adjuster (plastic gets brittle after use inside the dishwasher after time). So, I had to order another Upper Rack Adjuster. I was careful on the install on the new Upper Rack Adjuster and did not break it. All's well now and the upper rack slides in and out as it's supposed to. 

Ordered parts and replaced them for the upper dishrack and side arm slides. 

Pretty easy fix. Just needed a picture for reference to see where each of the rack supports went. It all fits together pretty intuitively if you take it slow and look at where the insertion points for all the parts are. I did considerable shopping around before purchasing. Other direct from manufacturer sites I found were more expensive. There were plenty of way cheaper options, and they all had 4 star and higher reviews, but reading through the reviews it was clear the parts were cheap and unreliable, didn’t fit properly without modification, and broke quickly. Glad I didn’t go with them. Hopefully these parts will last several years but we’ll see. 

Fairly easy to swap, using the video for guidance. 

I ordered the Adjuster Kit, and some other parts and completed the repair. 

Watched your video on how to replace broken parts on my upper dish rack. The video presentation was good, but, it moved on too quickly and I wish they would have videoed more in detail the outside of the upper rack before and after. I had to watch the video several times stopping it at key points as it moved too quickly for an amateur like myself. I wish the video could be rewound. Watching it from the beginning every time made a thirty-minute repair turn into a 1 to 2-hour repair. But in the end and with an extra set of hands to help, I was able to replace the parts properly. My upper rack slides in and out like new once again. In the end, I am happy I didn't have to call a pro! 

Had to troubleshoot problem and identify parts that needed to be replaced. Searched internet with brand and model number of dishwasher and ordered parts. Took about 15 minutes to replace them and Dishwasher work perfectly now

Went to You Tube and found out how to repair it and was done in a few minutes.
