Bruce G Santa Fe , NM September 13, 2015 Maytag dishwasher with broken drain pump impeller just disintigrated after 10 years of use in hard rural water Took the unit out of the counter, laid it down and removed 3 screws to remove pump, saw it was the problem and ordered a new one, 3 days later reinstalled and works great now. Actual pump replacement was less than 10 minutes, removal and reinstall made about an hour total. Read More... David M Naperville , IL March 12, 2014 Dishwasher would not drain Purchased the new drain pump. Flipped breaker (power to dishwasher). Unhooked electric, water line, and drain line. Pulled out dishwasher and tipped it on its back. Unhooked electric connector to the drain pump. Removed old drain pump and replaced with new one. Put everything back in place.
