How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6014528 / WP99003317 Dispenser Assembly

The inside of the dryer door panel was removed first by taking out all the screws connecting it to door. Once the inside panel was removed there are some additional screws to remove that connect the dispenser to the panel. Once these screws were removed I disconnected the old dispenser from the power cord then connected the new dispenser to the power cord and reattached all the screws. 

Parts arrived THE NEXT DAY. Door already removed to determine parts. Used cordless screwdriver with torx and nutdriver. Pliers to remove electrical plugs. 

Received the part in a few days. Opened door, took 10 torque screws off of inside of the door, and the 6 from the bracket that held the dispenser in place (hex head screws). Unplugged the dispenser and replaced it. The only small issue I had was getting the connector off of the wax motor. I used a flat tipped screwdriver to pop the wax motor out and then used the same screwdriver to pop the connector from the wax motor. (If it seems stuck to the wax motor, I suggest doing the same). Took only about 30 min to disassemble and reassemble the door. Very simple project that saved me from having to buy a new dishwasher (about $700 to buy one to do a comparable job as my old one, after reading the reviews of new washers). 

Found the part, placed order..fastest delivery of all places I searched. Received part 2 days later. 20 minutes after opening part box ... was installed and working!
