Tested all of the heat-related fuses with a multimeter. Discovered the thermal fuse was bad. Replaced the thermal fuse along with the blower seal and the lint housing seal. Read More... Danny H Bonita Springs , FL May 04, 2018 Appliance: Whirlpool Electric Dryer LER7648PQ1 My whirlpool electric dryer stopped heating I determined that it was a failed Thermal Cutoff. I replaced this part twice only to have it fail again within a month. I finally figured it out that I had to replace both the Thermal Cutoff AND the Thermostat (even though the thermostat tested as good). Both of these parts must be replaced at the same time. I called APP.com and they hooked me up with the thermal cutoff kit. When my parts arrived they were all crushed, I think FED EX danced a jig or two all over my packages in the back of the truck.
