How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3094543 / 285809 Washer Short Cam Agitator Repair Kit

I'm well familiar with repairing and replacing the short cam agitator on our washer. I always keep a spare on hand which I had gotten from App parts pros. I reordered another one to keep on hand and it arrived a couple days later. The parts available thru APP is fantastic and the parts arrive super fast. I have been using them for many years to keep our household appliances working. There's no need to replace an appliance when the problem can solved cheaply and quickly. 5 Stars for sure. 

Determined that the problem was stripped agitator dogs. Ordered this short cam agitator repair kit and performed the repair in very short order. Problem solved! Only complication was the two parts of my agitator, the base and the auger, had kind of fused plastic where they connected. I had to use a screw-driver to chip away a bit inside before I could separate them. Then when I put them back together with the repair kit, I used a bit of plastic epoxy to ensure it would stay together despite my light destruction to separate. I then ran a load of towels on high agitation without issue! 

Purchased short cam agitator repair kit and direct drive washer motor coupling and with the directions given on your website was able to fix machine myself and saved myself about $500. Cost to repair was $50 and was so proud of myself!! Thank you AppliancePartsPros!!

Bought replacement parts, removed and replaced faulty parts, then tested. All is well with the machine now. Better to spend about 30 minutes, spending $20 to repair vs $1000 for a new machine. 

Searching the Internet and watching a few videos on YouTube reminded me about the repair that I did on my Whirlpool washer five years ago. I decided to order the same parts (clutch assembly, motor coupling, short cam agitator kit) from the same reliable place which is AppliancePartsPros.com.
