Robert M Ontario , OR August 13, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Self Cleaning Slide-In Electric Range MES5570AAB The burner switch had failed and needed a replacement as well as the terminal block was bad I watched your video first, but being quite knowledgeable, I understood what to do. We pulled put the stove and unplugged the power cord first. then we took off of the stove and then proceeded to disassemble it. We took out the defective switch , making a drawing first of what wire went to each given terminal. Then we replaced the Infinite switch and the Ceramic terminal block kit. Everything went well with the perfect replacement parts that you had sent me. Great service and the correct high quality parts. Thank you, Bob Read More... Tracy J Noblesville , IN June 17, 2016 Appliance: Model KENMORE 629.46799890 The dual burner would not go off and we could not regulate the heat Ordered infinite switch and replaced. Biggest problems were figuring out with screws to remove to get at wiring and to wire new switch. The two switches were configured differently and it was hard to read the terminals of the old switch. Howard C Potomac , MD May 21, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Electric Range MER6769BAQ Maytag gemini left rear burner would not shut off remained on very very low heat with on light on the console I reviewed forums for identical problem. I did not find an exact match but everything appeared to point to the infinite switch. I opened the back (after turning off the burner and unplugging the powercord) to determine if it would be a simple job ( I reviewed a how-to video). I saw that it was simple so I ordered the part. What I should have done was swap the two large burner infinite switches to see if the problem moved. That would have confirmed that it was the infinite switch. I ordered the part which took two days to arrive. Installation took less than half hour. Most of time was spent taking out and putting back the screws on the back and console side panels (16 screws in all). Highly recommend doing it yourself. Read More... Michael M Buford , GA May 20, 2016 Appliance: Jenn-Air Self Cleaning Free Standing Electric Range FCE10500WC Jenn air fce10500 infinite switch on large burner would go to high heat regardless of setting 20 year old Jenn-Air range. First switch replacement was after 14 years. Replacement switch only lasted 6 years. Just long enough to forget how that panel comes off Actual switch replacement was the easy part and took about 2 minutes, just like the video. Removing the panel off to access the switch didn't resemble the video and took a very long time to figure out. The only similarity was the first 4 back panel screws and the 2 switch mounting screws Mfg. exploded diagram wasn't much help. Some of the panel parts are plastic and if you try to muscle things apart enough to remove the panel, you might break them. 18 Phillips head screws. 2 are up underneath the panel and call for an offset screwdriver. Don't give up, but don't be in a hurry. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers

Peter R Mt. Pleasant , SC May 18, 2016 Large burning would only function on high setting I found, on the internet, through Appliance Pros, that this was an issue others have had and were quick to recommend replacement of the infinite switch. The job was simple enough, Using just a philips screw driver I could remove the back panels to access the switch; remove the control knob and two screws and the switch was out to access the wiring. However, the replacement didn't fix it. I contacted Appliance Pro and they concluded that I had received a faulty switch. Without hesitation they sent me another switch and the problem was resolved. Their response to this issue was 1st Class.... Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
