Vern Z Carrollton , GA November 30, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Self Cleaning Slide-In Electric Range MES5570AAB 8" back burner on our electric range failed while preparing thanksgiving dinner I ordered a new control unit for the failed burner. After the part arrived, I threw the breaker switch on the breaker box for the range. I pulled the range out about 6 inches, unscrewed the two end screws and the four bottom screws that hold the burner control assembly. At this point the entire control assembly dropped down enough to give me access to the failed control unit. I then checked for electric current with a current checker and confirmed that the electricity had been successfully turned off for the range. I installed the new part, replacing one wire at a time from the original part. I put the range back together, switched the breaker switch to active and checked all burners for heat. The bad burner still did not heat, so I pushed the burner element tight into its electricity connector thence solving my problem. Should have done this originally !!! Read More... Jim C White Lake , MI November 21, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Self Cleaning Free Standing Electric Range CRE9600CCM Burner suddenly goes to high heat Replaced the infinite switch once I understood that burner heat control is governed by a mechanism inside the switch (I initially thought there would be some sort of sensor at the burner itself). Murray W Rochester Hills , MI November 08, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Self Cleaning Free Standing Electric Range MER5755QAW Burner on light stayed on constantly even when all burners off Your part came in in only two day. Fast! It was the correct part, too. It should have been a simple swap out and I bragged to my wife that I could do it in under ten minutes. I of course first disconnected the stove from the power outlet. Next, I popped off the stove's back panel, and easily accessed the faulty switch. I detached the wires, and put them on the new switch. I then plugged the stove back in, expecting to NOT see the Burner On light lit. What!!! The Burner On light was still on! Thinking that perhaps, when I initially trouble-shot the problem I incorrectly identified the bad switch. So now, one at a time, I detached the black wires from one switch at a time, to see which one of the four original switches was bad. This exercise, though, reaffirmed my initial conclusion; that the front-left burner's switch WAS the bad one. And that is the one I had just replaced with YOUR new switch. So now I was thinking that maybe your new switch was bad when ... DUH!!! ... I realized what the problem was. While I was installing your new switch I ACCIDENTALLY TURNED THE SWITCH ON!! Once I turned it back to the OFF position, the light went out. Whew!! It was now 30 minutes later, and my wife called me "Idiot!" but only in a loving way. Anyway, thanks for the fast service and GOOD part. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Jack B Abbeville , AL May 30, 2015 Front burner stayed on high Researched and ordered the replacement part from AppliancePartsPros.com. The part was received the second day after I ordered it. That's pretty much a record for me, most parts take at least a week, and one part took 18 days. In any case, my repair was simple, and was done in about twenty minutes. Very happy overall, and will order exclusively from AppliancePartsPros.com as long as they have the part I need, and recommend them to my friends. Read More...
