How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007658 / WP3148953 Range Infinite Control Switch

Changed the swith 

Replaced burner socket, and then ordered a new switch and burner, and the problem was fixed. 

Like a walk in the park put in new infinate temp control works like a charm ty all vm 

Ordered correct switch from Appliance Parts using their detailed drawings and then watched the video on how to replace. The video was correct, the part that came was correct. In less than 20 minutes part was replaced and I have a happy wife. 

Replaced with new infinite control,,,Right part and arrived quickly,,,Price was better than the local supply house 

I ordered the correct switch-infinite from appliance parts pro.com. I was extremely delighted that it arrived in my mail box only 2 days after I ordered it. very quick shipping! and it took me all of maybe 5 mins to take out old switch and install the new one. No problems everything works great! 

I ordered the part replacements from appliancepartspro.com. When the parts came in I pulled the stove out and unplugged it from the wall. Loosened and removed a couple of screws, installed the new switch and replaced the screws. Same thing with the element, removed 2 screws holding the element in, installed the new element and plugged the stove back in. Perfectamundo!!!!! My stove top and oven work perfectly now. I did watch the video on the heating element for the oven which prepared me for exactly what I would be doing. Thanks so much for the video, it made the repair so much easier. Both the switch replacement and the oven heating element replacement took a total of maybe 5 minutes. 

I used the online assistant. Told him I needed the right rear control. He made the order for me. A few days later the part arrived. Took just a few minutes to remove the rear panel and replace the control. Very easy to just unplug the old control and plug up the new one. The element is working correctly now. 

Ordered the switch from AppliancePartsPros.com. The part arrived the very next day. Made sure the stove was unplugged and then removed the back panel of the stove. I used a flat head screwdriver to remove the switch that I thought was causing the problem. I then plugged the stove back in and the light was not on. This confirmed I had removed the correct switch. I put the new switch in, (very easy), plugged the stove back in and the light did not come on. Unplugged the stove one last time to put the back panel on then plugged it in, and pushed it back in to position. Overall a very easy fix.
