How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6012742 / WP8318084 Washer Lid Switch

Got the replacement part in 2 days. Fit perfectly! Washing machine works like new!

I watched the how-to video on AppliancePartsPros.com, and it looked so simple to replace the switch that I went ahead and ordered the part. It arrived two days later. The process was explained and demonstrated so clearly in the video that I had no trouble at all! In about 15 minutes, start to finish, my washing machine was back in business!! 

I ordered the replacement part and it arrived in 3 days! This is EXCELLENT where I live on the Texas coast! Appliance Parts Pros also had the video loaded right beside the part. It took all of 10 minutes to get everything done and WORKING great. The repair man wanted $100.00 just to come look at it ... I spent $25.00 to fix it myself! GREAT JOB APPLIANCE PARTS PRO’S!! 

Checked online and lid switch seemed to be the issue. Checked on APPros and they had the switch. Placed order on a Wed. evening with expedited shipping. The switch arrived on Fri, mid-afternoon. Reviewed repair video and had the switch replaced in about an hour. Many thanks to Appliance Parts Pros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watched the Appliance Parts Pro video on how to fix the problem by replacing the lid switch. The video was perfect since the machine in the video was my exact washer. Had I not seen the video, I would have had to call a repair shop. I saved a lot of money ordering the part and doing this simple fix. The part fit perfectly and it arrived he day after I ordered it.
