How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6783993 / W11259786 Track, Assembly (Rh)

I replaced the slides with parts from AppliancepartsPros. The parts arrived very fast and installed in minutes fixing the dishwasher. 

You must pull the dishwasher out from underneath the cabinet in order to get to the exterior sides where the screws are that hold the tracks in place. 

I ordered the left and right tracks expecting the other track to fail in the near future. I read some other comments on how they fixed it and it was relatively easy. Some of the other plastic parts were also brittle and when I depressed the latch that holds the track in place it easily broke off. Both sides did this. However this did not impact the repair that much as the weight of the drain rack holds it in place. If I'd had known I would have ordered these parts also. 

Ordered parts from these fine people. The parts arrived 1 day later. I pulled the dishwasher out, replaced the top rack track on both sides and was back in business. It took me three times as long to get the dishwasher out as it did to replace the top rack tracks. Very simple repair once the dishwasher was out of the recess. Track attached by 4 screws (two on each side - I replaced both tracks) located on the outside of the dishwasher cabinet. I used a phillips screwdriver to remove and replace the tracks. All totaled, time to replace the tracks was 10 minutes. Obvious that the manufacturer recognized the defect in this part. The replacement has the ball bearings contained in a different material than the original part. Very satisfied with AppliancePartsPros and will use them again. 

Ordered the left and right top rails and they arrived fast. Repair was about 20 minutes only because you have to pull the dishwasher out to access the mounting bolts. Works like new!! 

New tracks were very easy to install. I had to pull out the washer but did not disconnect any hoses and the install was simple. 

Slid out dishwasher, unscrewed old slider and replaced it with new one. 

I replaced the two top brackets so the top tray would slide in and out as designed. 

I ordered the replacement rack piece and replaced it. 

Ordered replacement drawer slides and replaced them.
