How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6016586 / WPW10189190 Start Device Assembly

Replaced the failed capacitor starter, video was very helpful. 

Replace the compressor start device. 

Purchased and replaced the compressor starter and run capacitor. Compressor operating without issue and frig and freezer cooler. 

After doing some research on my model refrigerator, quickly found that the most likely culprit of this issue is usually the start device and/or run capacitor. Ordered to replace them and got the parts very fast. And it is great that AppliancePartsPros.com has a youtube channel that shows and explains the necessary steps. After replacing the parts, the compressor immediately came back on and everything was back to working order. 

The refrigerator and freezer were cooling, but there was a clicking noise every 1-2 minutes and the freezer was not keeping ice cream solid, even at the coldest setting. I watched the video and then ordered the replacement start relay. It took 15 minutes to install, but the unit is now working perfectly. Thank you AppliancePartsPros.com and Simon! 

Used an OHM tester, compressor was OK. 

I replaced the defrost thermostat, start device assembly, and run capacitor as recommended. The recommendation and how to videos made it so easy to fix. You guys saved me from having to buy a new refrigerator!!!! 

I followed the video on the website. It was simple. I just open the back and replaced the parts I ordered. Closed up the back and plugged it back and it started to work. 

Replaced start device assembly that capacitor plugs into and it fixed it. 

Ordered the start relay from here. Watched the video and 10 mins later I have a working fridge again.
