How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3177952 / 8193768 Upper Rinse Arm Spinner

I watched the video on how to replace the spinner and it was even easier than I thought. Everything went just perfect! 

It was great! I ordered the part, it came within 2 days and I did the fix without special tools. Its a simple and affordable part and can affect the cleanliness of the dishes. I am sure a service call would have been $100 and the time waiting to meet a repairman would have been painful. 

Ordered new parts fro Appliance Parts Pros, watched the video and fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. 

Replaced food grinder and heating element. Screen in food grinder was more than 50% blocked due to broken grinder. Heating element was not working after something had fallen and melted onto it, breaking ceramic coating. Videos were very helpful. 

Replaced it 

Problem was worn out chopper assembly. Pretty easy to remove old chopper. Getting the new one in took some effort. Almost need three or four hands to get everything to line up. Also had to replace the check valve as it tore when I went to remove it to check and clean any debris. Decided to replace the spray arm bushing as it showed signs of wear. The upper spray arm spinner is to have on hand as a spare. Seems every couple three years the plastic pin that holds the arm in place wears out and the spray arm falls off. Have to buy the whole spray arm kit as nobody carries just the pin and keeper it snaps into. Dishwasher is running normally now. No loud whirring, grinding noise. 

I ordered the new part from you and received it in less than 48 hours. I watched a YouTube video on how to replace the part. It only took 10 minutes. I saved myself a lot a money by doing it myself. Appliance PartsPros is excellent. I will use them again for certain. 

I looked at Sears because it was a kenmore part..could not find it..put the number in your website found it perfectly..ordered it..it arrived the next day..fantastic h 

I reviewed the video that was posted on the site which was very helpful. I followed the process laid out by the video and in less than 10 minutes, the repair was complete. 

I watched the video from AppliancePartsPros. Thought; "I can do this" and bought the part. Replacement was not quite the same as the video. [it was easier actually] the best part of the video was the advice to put a towel over the drain. I probably would have lost one of the small pieces if not for that.
