How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3177952 / 8193768 Upper Rinse Arm Spinner

Bought new part and installed it. My dishwasher was a little different. It didn't require any tools to do the job. Everything was finger-clips. 

I ordered part and watched video on how to install. The video was helpful, but it did not explain about the removal of door panel. I did not realize there were two part to the door. I took out all screws which then two separated and immediately knew I wasn't to remove screws that hold the control panel. Immediately replaced to hold control panel and went on to complete the installation. Only one mistake but soap dispenser WORKS.

I watched the video. Replacement was easy. This was the second time it had to be replaced though. The piece that goes above the arm seems to wear out quickly, but the fact that this dish washer is used in an office setting and is run every night may play a part in that. The pieces snap together and the edge wears smooth and the spinner falls off into the dish washer. Glad we could fix it with a small cost and did not have to call a repairman.
