How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6015761 / WPW10144820 Water Inlet Valve Assembly

I replaced the water inlet valve assembly Matt's repair video was spot-on as always. The control panel Phillips screws, though, these screw into some kind of flexible insert and both those fell into the body of the washer and I wasn't fishing them out. I put some kitchen and bath silicone on edge and front of control panel to stabilize it. 

I used the appliance parts pros youtube video for installing a new fill valve and it was a GREAT step by step video. The part came within 2 days and I saved at least $200 considering the repairman wanted $75 just to diagnose and then would have charged parts and labor on top. 

Replaced hot and cold water valves, 25 minute job after finding secret to gaining access to back of washer. 

It actually did only take about 15-20 minutes from beginning to end. I pulled up the instructional videoon my ipad and just followed instructions. Very easy and saved me some money.

I replaced the Timer and the water fill valve. I am a good mechanic, but it would have taken much longer to replace the parts without the repair videos that I downloaded to my laptop. It would have been difficult to find the hidden screws and release tabs necessary to remove and replace the defective parts. I had the videos playing on my laptop as I was making the repairs.It was just like having an appliance serviceman standing next to me. Replaced water inlet valve assembly 

Called and talked on chat line. Ordered the part and expected to get it in 3-5 days. Surprise came next afternoon and wS washing clothes that evening. Chat was great and the device was fast. Thanks. Keep up the great work. 

Suspected either thermistor defective or the temperature controller. Neither could be conclusively confirmed as accurate so I replaced the temperature switch and valve assembly with thermistor. Things are working as expected now. 

I troubleshot the problem using google. After I concluded what the problem was, I ordered a water inlet valve from your company. I googled the part and your company offered the part for the least amount of money. I am a 61 yr. Old grandmother and took out the broken part and replaced it myself!
