How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6026312 / W10865826 Water Inlet Valve

Replaced valve inlet and solved problem.

Replaced the inlet valve. This is an easy job that took just a few minutes. The fridge side line was difficult to remove from the old valve but it eventually worked free. I flushed the supply line before reconnecting and got a container filled with black water.  If fills at 2x speed now. The part you sent was identical. 

Once the part arrived it only took approximately 15 minutes to replace the part. The difficult part of the repair was moving the refrigerator from the cabinet to access the water valve. 

Took back off and found it was coming from the inlet valve around a seam where two pieces were plastic welded together. 

Not a big story, ordered another valve and had it replaced in 10 kin which included removing the access panel 

Replaced part with purchased part from Appliance Parts Pro. 

One evening getting ready for bed, my wife was walking barefoot by the fridge and noticed water seeping up through the cracks between the tiles. I pulled out the fridge and turned off the water valve, then went to bed. Next day figured out a part was cracked, shooting tiny jets of water to the floor. Called a few outfits in the area, all very expensive and booked out 2-3 weeks. I looked up parts on the web, found Appliance Parts Pros, where a diagram showed me the part. A video link showed how to replace it. I ordered the water inlet valve, replaced it just like the video showed. Worked perfectly! Thanks for a great DIY website and store! 

I ordered the replacement part from Appliance Parts Pros. I removed and replaced it. It fit perfectly!
