Actually Wayne was goaded into doing the repair himself by me, his wife. I just typed in the problem and our machine make and model into a google search and voila - the AppliancePartsPros website came up with the answer. Even though there were cheaper parts available on Amazon, I went with the factory approved actual Maytag part because to me it seemed that would be more reliable. Our washer was different than the one in the video (which I made him watch numerous times), but after yet another review Wayne heard the comment about using a putty knife to help open it up and it worked! After that he said it was a breeze to install the part and now my washer works fine again. This was great! We are both super happy.
