Shay R Osceola , WI January 27, 2019 Appliance: Maytag Atlantis Washer MAV7600AWW Maytag Washer Mav7600aww: My 17 year old Maytag Atlantis washing machine would no longer complete the rinse and spin cycle leaving a full tub of soapy water. How to replace Timer (Washer). I looked up online to see what the potential problem was and part that needed to be replaced. I determined that the timer on my washing machine probably needed to be replaced. I could open the lid and turn the dial backwards to the spin cycle and it would drain the water and complete the last cycle. So that is how I determined it wasn’t a problem with the drain pump/motor or lid switch. I have had great success with ordering parts from Appliance Parts pros and love the videos they have that show you exactly how to replace the parts you order. I watched the video on replacing the timer. It was an easy fix even though my model was slightly different than the one in the video. I no longer wait for my husband to fix things! This is the 3rd appliance repair I’ve accomplished on my own,as a woman who refuses to pay a high price for professional repairs! With the help of appliance pros video repairs as my guide it was a success! 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
