This was an easy diagnosis. Blower still worked but no tumbling. Opened up the unit and read the part number off the shredded belt (fortunately the part number was still intact). Replacing the belt was pretty easy, but the cleanout inside the cabinet took more effort from that shredded belt and accumulated lint—that was overdue anyway. Checked all the rollers, tensioner, and other parts while I was in there and everything looked good so put the belt in and ready to go now. Glad I got a genuine OE Maytag belt. No issues or fitment problems.
