I ordered a new Whirlpool starter switch as well as a thermal fuse, because I couldn't tell which went bad; an ohm meter indicated it was both, but that seemed unlikely. I received the parts very quickly, and thanks to the very clear videos provided I was able to install both parts without any problem at all. It probably didn't take a total of 20 minutes to install both, even though I knew zero about dryers. The dryer fired right up, and works perfectly now.
