I was left with the very real possibility that it was in fact the spark control module. Used Appliance Parts Pros to find the correct replacement module. The phone call was quick and easy. Ordering was quick and easy. Delivery was fast. Turned off the power, took a photo of the original equipment and replaced the module one wire at a time. All is fixed!
