John E Novato , CA February 21, 2019 Dryer drum was hard to turn motor tripped out and making an intermittent squeak I had previously replaced the rear drum bearing and felt gaskets and the idler pulley was good. But two months later the squeaking began and the motor tripped out again and the drum seemed a little hard to turn, I figured the only thing left was the motor.I replaced the motor and now the drum turns nice and smooth, no squeaking. It even sounds smoother. I would have just replaced the dryer since it is at least over 12 years old but it is an under cabinet built-in and they don't make that size anymore. Fortunately you can still get parts for them. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
