Simple, ordered the heating element assembly, saved a few bucks over buying separate pieces, the installation is easy and I have two thermostats left over for spares. most of the time spent on the repair was getting to the heater. Not hard just time consuming. Shut off power and unplug the dryer. Take the exhaust pipe and plate off (3 screws) remove the pipe. Take the top panel off (2 screws) put that aside. Unscrew the control panel (4 screws) leave connected and lay it on top of the dryer. Take off the front panel (8 screws, 6 on top two on the bottom inside of door opening) set panel aside. Look inside the dryer on the bottom right is the heater held on by one screw remove it. Disconnect the blue and red main wires. From the rear remove the unit, lift up the front move forward slightly to clear the heat vent. Transfer the pig tail wires from the old to the new unit. Do not bend the screw tab into shape until the unit is in place. Reassembly is totally in reverse. Tip, wear some sort of gloves, lots of sharp edges to look out for.
By the way these guys are great, site is a snap to navigate, parts ordered on a Sunday morning and delivered on Tuesday for standard rates. Good pricing as well.
