I first opened the top and saw the belt was worn and frayed. So I took apart the dryer and put a new belt on it, with the help of appliance parts pros video. Once the belt was on, I noticed it was loose but figured I’d try it. I put the dryer back together and it didn’t spin so I realized I needed to change the idler assembly and tension spring. I didn’t have those parts yet so I ordered them from appliance parts pros. When the parts came in, THE NEXT DAY, I took the dryer apart again, with the video, and replaced those parts. I put it all back together and it works perfect now!
