The fix took less than 10 minutes!
Disconnect the power and move the range from its location just far enough to access all the bolts.
Remove panel, and disconnect all electrical connections to the controller.
Remove controller by removing the 4 screws.
It is best to get the new touch panel, as it will be too difficult to remove the old one from a the controller.
Install in the reverse order.
Problem solved and now a happy wife!
