This is the second time this part has gone bad since I owned my Bosch Axis washer--- the original part and then a replacement part that was installed about 4 years ago. The hardest part was removing the dryer from to top of the washer (stack unit). I did this by myself, but if I had help it would have been easy. After unplugging the electricity and closing the cold water valve, I removed the protective lid from the washer. The part was very easy to get to---right on top at the inside back of the washer. All I had to do was unhook 3 hoses (about the size of a pencil); unplug the electric attachment; unscrew the main cold water line (be sure to have a bucket close by to capture any water that may be in the hose when you unhook it from the washer); pop the old part out; snap the new part in; and then hook everything back up and turn the water back on. It was easy and simple. NOTE: With this part, you do not have to unhook the HOT water hose. I check everything to make sure there were no leaks, which there were not. I then did a test (empty) wash cycle. Once that was done I did a normal wash and the fabric softener went through the cycle without any problems. This was an easy fix. I figured I saved myself probably $200 by doing the job myself.
