Replaced evaporator fan motor. At first repair did not work. I placed the fan on the end of the motor shaft as shown in the repair video and it turn out that in that position the fan landed on the insulation behind it and could not spin. I moved the fan lower on the shaft so it could turn freely and now the freezer is back to working properly. I suspect now that the motor was not bad but that the fan moved on the shaft and got hung up on the insulation behind it. I'll have to watch for this if the freezer starts to act up again. Otherwise it was a pretty easy fix.
