Took the dryer apart. used a meter and determined the problem was a bad thermal fuse.i also noticed the belt was a little worn as well, so i replaced the fuse and the belt. i also cleaned the accumulated lint which most likely lead to the fuse going bad. i but the dryer back together and now have a better than ever 10 yo dryer. i should add that i was able to do all of this thanks to the numerous helpful videos on YouTube.
