My son removed the heating cone from the dryer for me. I took the cone to my work bench and removed old broken heating element and replaced with new. Also changed the thermostat since it was 15 yrs old and it was right there WHY not.. I'm 81 yrs old but have 45 yrs experience in electrical assembly experience. It was no problem following the instructions I had gotten from your help center. Took around 3 hrs. to complete the job. Lots of rest periods during that time.. Redoing the element took the most time as you must be careful not to put stress by pulling it to tight, but making it fit from pole to pole. This is the second time I've change the heating element on this particular dryer. It was less time 15yrs. ago.
