I watched a YouTube video on this model. This dryer is now 7 years old. I had already replaced the belts and drum support wheels 3 or 4 years ago due to excessive noise. The video indicated that the cause of heat failure was most likely due to a burnt-out heating coil. The coil was easy enough to access and sure enough, it had a break in it along with a fracture in the steel plate the coil is mounted on. I knocked the cap off of the high-limit thermostat when I was removing the wires so I replaced that also although it still worked fine. Dryer is now fixed and I continue to have a success rate of 100% in repairing all of our newer appliances in a new kitchen, thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com. Our exhaust pipe is a 5' flexible aluminum pipe, clean, and vents to an outside wall.
