I checked the igniter visually with the oven on. That was ok. I unplugged the temp sensor and checked the resistance, boiling water, room temp, and ice water with a digital volt meter. All ok. That left the oven control. I ordered one and to my surprise it was here the next day. I turned off the power then removed the old control after making a chart of the wire colors and the numbers of the corresponding board terminals. I the heated the mask on the control with a hair dryer and peeled it off and put it on the new control, then installed the control and double checked the wiring before turning the power back on.
