I took mixer apart to discover a gear had broken causing pieces to go into other gears in the gear housing. I ordered all of the gears and bushings that had wear and damage. The new parts fit perfectly and the mixer purrs like a new one. The most time-consuming and messy part of the repair was cleaning out all of the old grease.
