David B Independence , MO October 27, 2019 Appliance: Model KP26M1XPB5 AND KG25H7XWH Kitchenaid 5 and 6 quart mixer transmissions needed gears replaced I watched several YouTube videos, including one on this site, to disassemble and repair the mixer transmissions. This only required a Phillips head screwdriver and a snap ring pliers. Also needed food-grade grease to replace old after cleaning up the transmission to determine what needed replacing. I repaired two models, KP26M1XPB5 and KG25H7XWH. They both had identical transmissions. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
