Cleaned and regreased transmission parts, cleaned out housing and replaced transmission housing and seal. We use the appliance adapter for juicing tomatoes for canning. Apparently, some of the tomato juice leaked into the main housing and eroded the transmission housing. I probably could have continued using old housing but the mixer is only 2 yrs old so I decided to replace the housing and seal. Note to others the transmission housing comes with a seal so no need to order a seal. I could have saved $ if I had known. Now I have an extra seal that I don't need.
