After turning off the power to the stove I removed the rear panel of stove and confirmed that all the wires and connectors were intact to the control board. I unplugged all the connectors and reinserted them. Still had the same problem after turning power back on.
Researched the replacement part online and ordered it from Appliance Parts Pros. and received my order the next day using standard shipping. -Wow!
I proceeded to remove the defective control board and install the replacement. I should have ordered a new touchpad also but I removed the old one and put it onto the new control unit and it works perfectly. I used a hair dryer to warm up the old touchpad to help in peeling it off .
The replacement kit came with an electrical filter that installs onto the power inlet terminals. 4 wires and easy to install. Hopefully the added filter will prolong the reliability of the control board.
The whole job took about 25 minutes. Removing the sticky-backed touch pad and reinstalling it on the new board accounted for about half of that time.
Turned power back on to the stove and everything works like new again.
