Checked the element for damage, found nothing. Used a multimeter on the back board to make sure power was flowing through where it needed to be (sadly I wasn't the one who tested this so I can't tell you what was checked, but there are forum posts somewhere about this.)
We were able to successfully peal the overlay sticker off of the old unit and it adhered without much issue or damage. Once the unit was put in, it worked immediately.
