I watched the video of Matt replacing the element in a Whirlpool Dryer that was very similar to my Maytag. He did an excellent job of explaining the steps required to remove and replace the element. I did check the element for continuity before ordering the part. With no continuity, I knew I needed the element. AppliancePartsPros got me the part in one day!
Because of some minor differences in electrical connectors and such, I had to modify a few of the steps Matt had shown in his video. However, the overall process was similar enough.
Note: Matt wears gloves while working on the dryer. It looks a bit clumsy at times, but he avoids "Death by a Thousand Cuts" from all the sharp edges of the sheetmetal parts inside the dryer.
