Unplug power cord of appliance, make sure no access for kids to reach. Removed kick panel on the front, reach the gray box. Make sure to use 1/4 socket that holds the box to the metal bracket. Carefully slide forward. Make sure it does not damage the cord behind it. Take a picture before you unplug the cord, press the tab and pull straight. Replace with new main control board. On the water valve inlet, make water line is shut off just on the sink or where ever your water source for the fridge. Take a picture before you dismantle the replacement water valve inlet. Just be care not to damage the hoses. Grab a good cutter to use. Always follow safety tips. Good luck, you can do it too to avoid costly labor repair.
