I identified a possible culprit with the drain pump, when it wasn’t working it would cause a clicking and humming sound like it wanted to switch but couldn’t. I accessed the bottom of the washer and pretty easily removed the drain pump. Compared it with the part online to make sure they were the same and replaced the part. The washer began to work again, and I saved our family about 250 dollars in diagnostic and labor fees by doing it myself. It was a simple repair and videos from YouTube assisted with the process. I’m not more confident in repairing things myself.
