I checked the internet and found videos from AppliancePartsPros.com and determined what my possible problems were so I took it apart and sure enough I found the problem, the washer motor had a direct drive ( no belt) and the coupling was damaged. When I disconnected the motor and the capacitor wires, I noticed that the capacitor appeared to be coming apart, I mean the guts pulled out and were loose so I decided to replace that part also. The agitator dogs located within the top section of the agitator were damaged and in pieces so these were also replaced.
My recommendation is to watch the videos and go from there.
