I replaced the part I thought was the problem based on the suggestions from this site - it fixed the problem. I replaced the additional two parts - the dryer is 14 years old and for less than 50 dollars the dryer is acting brand new. I had delays from the stores in buying a new dryer and decided to try to fix this one. This is the kind of web site the Internet needs more of. What a great experience!
