A Clarke B Westfield , NJ August 15, 2018 Appliance: Model WM2277HW (ABWEEUS) Worn tub bearings I followed the video and advice from others in the comments forum and completed the project over a Saturday night into Sunday afternoon. Replaced the spider, bearings, seal, inner tub gasket and lower tub hose. The repair went about as expected with serious force needed to remove the spider shaft and bearings due to rust and corrosion. Ended up using a six inch railroad spike and large axe to coax the shaft and bearings out. Also required a good amount of force to install the new bearings. I would suggest that the bearings not be frozen and only chilled. The laundry detergent used as a lubricant will freeze when applied to the bearings. Laying the old bearings on top of the new bearings to pound on for installation purposes was a great tip. All in all everything went well and the machine now runs very quietly.
