I found my parts and ordered the six I needed, however I did not pick up on the difference from the front wheels to the rear wheels in the the descriptions. The rear wheels are narrower and I ordered all front wheels, six fronts instead of four front and two rear. I made it work by using the axle from the new wheel with two old narrow wheels. Read more

I pulled the DW out, pulled off the old blanket pieces, vacuumed up the millions of small parts, then put the new blanket on, I did use some packing tape to hold it in place. Easy! The challenge was moving the unit out, then back in, but that was simply time and a little effort. Read more

The previous tenant in my daughter's new apartment apparently had a grease fire of sorts in the GE XL44 gas oven. This left the insulating double glass panes so fouled up that one could not see into the oven. I removed the oven door (just lifts off the hinges) and proceeded to disassemble the door so as to get to the glass panes. Had to remove the front and top panel on the dryer, disconnect the belt and remove the drum. From there it was two screws to slide out the motor assembly with the fan attached and one bolt to remove the clamp and screw kit holding the fan in place. They kit was worn and was allowing the fan to move forward and back on the motor shaft. Once replaced it took about 5 minutes to reassemble and my dryer now purs like a kitten. Read more

Planning to spend hundreds on a new washer and was pleased to discover the agitator coupling was the only thing wrong. Very easy repair. The only additional feature we would have liked was a softener dispenser. Located a GE model of the same genre that used the same coupler and took the leap to get the agitator and dispenser cup for this model (WJRR4170). Unplugged and unscrewed Advantium Oven. Pull it out with the help of a friend as it is heavy. Removed the two screws on the top access cover and removed it. I removed the plug and discharged the capacitor just in case with an insulated wire to the ground. I needed a long #2 Philips screwdriver to access the 4 screws holding it in place. I swapped the thermostat from the old unit to the new unit. I used tape to hold the screws on the tip of the screwdriver to get them back in the holes. I... Read more
