This escutcheon and insert is the trim piece that finishes the appliance opening, covering the mounting area and helping keep the interior protected from dust and debris. It restores a clean, factory appearance. What it does:

• Covers and protects the appliance opening where controls or fittings pass through
• Provides a finished look and helps prevent dirt and lint from entering internal cavities
• Replaces cracked, broken, warped or missing trim that can catch on clothing or snag items
• Re-seats to align surrounding panels and maintain proper edge clearance

• Disconnect power (and gas or water if applicable) before starting any repair
• Removal/installation usually requires removing the surrounding panel or control assembly; keep track of fasteners
• Handle the trim gently to avoid cracking; plastic clips can be fragile on older units

• Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning service to avoid shock or damage
• Handle the board by the edges and avoid touching components; observe ESD precautions when possible
• Remove access panels and disconnect connectors one at a time, noting or photographing wire locations for reassembly
