Ordering replacement parts is cheaper and easier than calling a plumber to investigate, so it was the worth the try, and the video showed me that I could do it myself. Of course, getting the old threaded parts to budge was the hardest part. But I replaced the water inlet valve and the aging fill hose -- no more leak! Read More... Robert G Beach Park , IL December 20, 2024 Appliance: Model GWDT260R10SS Gushing leak from the water inlet valve on my dishwasher It was leaking profusely from my GE Profile dishwasher and after a quick look underneath, and shaking a few things around, I could easily see that the water inlet valve had failed and began to leak. Easy enough. I went to Appliance Part Pros to order the part and when I got to the page, they had a helpful video on how to do everything right there! Disconnect the electric and water, remove two electrical connectors, remove a clamp, remove two hex screws, replace the part, and reattach everything. It took longer to get everything back in place than it did to actually replace the parts. Side note... while I was in there I figured I'd replace the water injector fill hose as well. Read More...
