This screw, manufactured by Briggs & Stratton, has multiple uses in small and medium sized gasoline powered engines, including generators, leaf blowers, lawn mowers, log splitters, chippers, tillers, pressure washers, and vacuums. Bolts of this design are used to secure engines and accessories to the body of the power tool. Manufactured with a smooth nozzle, these bolts are capable of withstanding four times the resistance of a regular hex bolt. For this reason, they are often used to secure the housing of moving parts, such as the cylinder head. Periodically, the wear and tear experienced by any engine will result in interior pieces needing to be replaced. In such cases it always a good idea to also replace the hardware that secures the various parts of the device together. Flange bolts and nuts should be replaced with genuine OEM parts such as this one, which is manufactured to meet the same specifications as the original. Occasionally, the high heat of the engine, coupled with extensive use, can cause a hex bolt such as this to freeze up. In such a case, a machinist is necessary to drill out the original bolt and retap the hole so the bolt can be used. This screw is compatible with equipment manufactured by Briggs & Stratton, Simplicity, MTD, Craftsman, Lawn Boy, Toro, Cub Cadet, and Murray.

The oil drain plug plays an important role in lawn and garden machines, although most only realize how important it is when it is not working properly. The plug fits into the oil drain at the bottom of the motor. It is removed to allow the oil to be drained from the motor when changing the oil. The durable oil drain plug may need to be replaced if it is no longer working properly. There could be leaks that allow the oil to escape from the motor, which would indicate it needs to be replaced. If the plug is lost, it will need to be replaced, as well. The genuine OEM replacement oil drain plug is sold individually. It is used for lawn mowers, snowblowers, tillers, leaf blowers, pressure washers, chainsaws, edgers, log splitters, wood chippers, heat pumps, generators, and other small engines. Compatible brands include Briggs & Stratton, Craftsman, Kenmore, Toro, Cub Cadet, Homelite, Murray, Lawn-Boy, Snapper, and Simplicity.

This screw is a genuine Midwest Engine replacement part for small engine appliances, including lawn tractors, lawn mowers, snowblowers, leaf blowers, vacuums, and tillers. The purpose of a screw is to tightly link materials together through rotation that pierces into the material. A screw might have to be replaced in the event that it is lost or misplaced, a common occurrence due to its size. A screw might also be replaced if it deteriorates over time, through erosion, cracking, or piercing, thereby reducing its efficacy in holding materials together. This kind of damage can be attributed to general overuse, to age, or simply to long-term exposure. If a screw is subject to any of this kind of damage, it is best to replace it immediately, as the materials held together by the screw must continue to be held together. Remember to always wear gloves when handling, repairing, and operating outdoor equipment. This screw is compatible with the following brands: Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Cub Cadet, and Lawn Boy.

This valve spring is made for small engines and works on a range of different types of outdoor equipment. The valve spring plays an important role in internal combustion engines. A camshaft will open the valves, often using valve lifters. The spring is responsible for closing the lifters. Some of the symptoms of a broken valve spring include performance issues such as misfiring and loss of power, noise from the valve, and eventually internal damage to the machine's engine. Those who believe they have a damaged or broken valve spring should replace the spring as soon as possible. This will ensure the machine continues to run properly. This is a genuine OEM valve spring that is sold individually. The spring will work for many types of small engines including those found on lawn mowers, tillers, yard vacuums, and generators. Brands that can utilize the valve spring include Toro, Cub Cadet, MTD, Simplicity, Craftsman, Lawn-Boy, Murray, and Briggs & Stratton.

This valve retainer is an authentic replacement part for use with many types of small lawn and garden engines. The retainer valve helps to keep the lock valve spring on the valve. It is shaped similarly to a washer, which will fit over the top of the valve spring. The piece also helps to add space between the valve spring and the head of the valve. The valve retainer is made from metal, and it is a small piece. The retainer could become lost and need replacement when performing other maintenance on the engine's valves. The metal could also become corroded or break. In those cases, it will need to be replaced as soon as possible. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sold individually. The part can be used with many types of equipment including lawn mowers, snowblowers, tillers, pressure washers, edgers, leaf blowers, log splitters, and wood chippers. Compatible brands include Briggs & Stratton, Craftsman, Toro, Cub Cadet, Murray, Lawn-Boy, Snapper, MTD, Simplicity.

This is a replacement screw that can be used on various types of lawn and garden equipment. The type of equipment will affect where the screw is used on the tool. A screw is used to attach various components together so nothing comes loose while the tool is in use. It can also be used with a nut. It's best to choose a nut that has the same finish and threading as the screw.A screw can be damaged in many ways. If this occurs, it will need to be replaced. Corrosion, wear and tear, extreme stress, and high temperatures can all cause a screw to fail. Inspecting the screw can indicate whether it will need to be replaced. Use a screwdriver to take off the old screw, or use a pair of pliers if the screw has become stripped. Replace it with a new screw. This is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. Each screw is sold individually. The component is designed for use with lawn mowers, snowblowers, tillers, pressure washers, leaf blowers, edgers, chainsaws, generators, and wood chippers manufactured by Briggs & Stratton, Simplicity, Toro, MTD, Cub Cadet, Lawn-Boy, Homelite, and Murray.

This genuine OEM welch plug manufactured for use in select Briggs & Stratton engines may be found in several locations in the carburetor. Its job is to seal air and fuel passages that help ensure that the proper air and fuel mixture gets to the engine. These plugs are exposed to constant vibrations, chemicals, and high temperatures. They can become worn, damaged, or break loose and get lost over time. If this occurs, a replacement will be necessary. It's often best to replace all of the welch plugs and other gasket components at the same time. This OEM welch plug is manufactured to specific standards for use in select engines manufactured by Briggs and Stratton and found in various lawnmowers and snow blowers from the brand, as well as select models from Lawn Boy and Toro. The plug is sold as an individual unit. Those who need more than one will have to order multiple quantities. Since this is an internal engine part, it is important to wear gloves and allow the engine to cool completely before doing any repairs.

This replacement choke shaft is an authentic OEM part for over 150 different appliance engines. The choke shaft is essentially a lever used to control the choke. When the choke is engaged, it controls how much air is released from the intake valve into the carburetor. With less air in the carburetor, the engine will burn less fuel and create less power. The choke shaft extends out from the engine, allowing operators to engage the choke. While useful, this does, however, mean that it is exposed to the elements and physical damage. If broken off, the choke will be unusable and the shaft will need replacing. To do so, use a socket wrench to disassemble the air filter and filter housing, and a pair of pliers to pull out the choke plate. Remove the damaged shaft by hand and reassemble with a new part. As a high-quality replacement part, this choke shaft comes sourced from its original manufacturer. It is compatible with engines made by Toro and Briggs & Stratton. This part includes a shaft, choke plate, and O-ring. This parts ship as a single unit.

This genuine Briggs and Stratton idle mixture valve is an original OEM replacement part designed to fit select engines made by the brand. This valve is responsible for controlling the mixture of air and gasoline that enter the carburetor, which helps determine how much power gets to the engine. This valve opens and closes based on the pull of the engine throttle, allowing the engine to perform at the optimal level based on user need. The valve can wear out over time due to the constant repetitive motion and high heat exposure, which can result in the need for replacement. This part should always be replaced with a genuine OEM model. This OEM idle mixture valve is manufactured for use in lawn and garden equipment that features select small engines manufactured by Briggs and Stratton. It is sold as an individual unit and does not include any additional parts or hardware. If additional parts are needed, they will require a separate purchase. This part replacement should be done on an engine that has had sufficient time to cool so that there is no danger of burns. Gloves should be worn at all times and it may be necessary to drain some of the fuel before working on these engines.

This is a replacement fuel tank gasket. It installs between the carburetor and the fuel tank assembly, and is sometimes called a carburetor gasket or a fuel tank assembly gasket. It helps to prevent leaks from occurring between the fuel tank assembly and the carburetor. Gaskets are subject to high temperatures and pressure. Over time, they will degrade, and leaks will eventually occur. When this happens, the gasket must be replaced. The gasket should also be replaced whenever the fuel tank assembly/carburetor are separated, such as to repair or replace the carburetor float. Signs the gasket needs to be replaced include visible leaks between the carburetor and the fuel tank and operational problems with the machine. To replace the fuel tank gasket, remove the air box and air filter. Disconnect the spark plug, and then crimp the fuel line closed. Remove the carburetor and then remove the old gasket. Note that it may require scraping. Make sure that both mating surfaces are clean and dry before installing the new gasket. Reassemble everything in reverse order. This is a genuine OEM replacement fuel tank gasket and is sold individually. It fits Briggs & Stratton engines on over 150 different yard machines.

The choke link is used to open and close the choke on the engine. It is used in conjunction with the choke valve to moderate the amount of airflow into the fuel and air mixture, helping to restrict the air when starting the engine. If there is a problem with the choke link, it can cause the engine to have trouble starting, or it might not start at all. If the link is damaged or not properly adjusted, it may not open or close the choke properly. In some instances, it will need an adjustment, but it could also need a replacement. If the current choke link is broken or corroded, it is time to replace it. This is a genuine OEM replacement choke link for tillers, generators, tillers, lawn mowers, and other small engines. Compatible brands include Toro, Cub Cadet, Briggs & Stratton, Simplicity, and Craftsman.

This is a general use replacement screw. It is a standard piece of hardware for securing various components on lawn and garden equipment that will have multiple locations and uses based on the equipment model. Owners should refer to diagrams for proper location and application of this part. As a securing tool, this screw can become worn over time. The threads can strip or the screw can become lost during other repairs. This is when a replacement may be needed. Because this is a general-use part, it might be a good idea to keep a few extras on hand. This genuine replacement screw is designed for use with Briggs & Stratton, Toro, and Murray lawn and garden machines, including over 150 models of generators, tractors, snowblowers, and pressure washers. The screw can be replaced with a wrench in all applications and should only take a few minutes to fix. This durable screw is made of sturdy metal and sold as a single unit. Those who need additional screws will have to order multiple quantities.

This is an authentic muffler deflector screw that is found in small engines for outdoor power equipment from Briggs & Stratton. This metal screw is designed to secure the muffler deflector to the flywheel. In select models, it may also be used to secure the starter clutch to the flywheel. The screw is durable but exposed to high heat and constant wear, which means that it can become damaged or worn with regular use. If the screw is lost or damaged, it will need to be replaced. It should always be replaced with a genuine OEM part. This OEM muffler deflector screw is manufactured by Briggs & Stratton to exact standards and is compatible with several models of small engines. It can be used with various models of blowers, pressure washers, generators, and snow throwers from Toro, Murray, and Briggs & Stratton. It is sold as an individual replacement part. To replace this screw, the flywheel cover will need to be removed. Then, if it is still present, the old screw will need to be removed and the new one can be installed. This screw requires a hex or Torx screwdriver to install. Always wear gloves and disconnect the spark plug for safety when performing engine repairs.

This is a screw that is used in many types of lawn and garden equipment, including lawnmowers and wood chippers. It comes with a black finish and is made of durable metal. The screw can be used in many locations on a tool to attach two components together. Screws can also be used in tandem with nuts, but the two components should have the same threading and finish.Screws can become damaged, break, or be stripped and will need to be replaced. Corrosion, extreme temperatures, and unexpected stress can all lead to issues with a screw. A visual inspection can indicate whether the screw should be replaced. If it does need replacement, a screwdriver can be used to remove the original screw. The new component can be placed and tightened. This screw is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold as a single component. The screw can be used with many types of lawn and garden equipment, including lawnmowers, tillers, pressure washers, leaf blowers, edgers, generators, wood chippers, and snowblowers manufactured by Briggs & Stratton, Cub Cadet, Craftsman, Murray, Wheel Horse, Lawn-Boy, MTD, MasterCut, Simplicity, and Toro.

This screw is designed by Briggs & Stratton as a mounting screw to attach the carburetor onto the engine body so the two can work in tandem. Over time, these screws can become damaged or broken, which requires replacement. A visual inspection of the carburetor mounting screws can help determine whether they need to be replaced. Cleaning the screws can make it easier to see if the screw has been broken or damaged in any way. In some cases, these screws can also become loose, which also indicates a replacement is required. Remove the old screw using the appropriate screwdriver and install the new screw before running the engine again. This is a genuine OEM replacement part directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. This screw is designed for use with Briggs & Stratton, Simplicity, Toro, and Cub Cadet lawnmowers, chipper shredders, leaf blowers, snowblowers, tillers, generators, and lawn tractors. A hex screwdriver and other tools may be needed to make a repair.

Here is a replacement pump diaphragm spring that is identical to the original part that came with the machine. The pump diaphragm spring is used for a range of different types of engines. The spring is made from metal, and it attaches to the spring cap. This spring helps to ensure the proper return motion of the diaphragm, causing the fuel located in the pump chamber to be pushed through the outlet port and into the carburetor. The pump diaphragm spring could need to be replaced for several reasons. In some cases, it might have become bent or misshapen, which would prevent it from working properly. It could also become corroded over time since it is made from metal. Replacing the spring will typically require a wrench set, screwdriver, and a nut driver. This is a genuine OEM replacement part, which is sold individually. The pump diaphragm spring can be used for more than 150 types of machines including generators, blower vacuums, tillers, log splitters, and wood chippers. Compatible brands include Briggs & Stratton, Craftsman, Toro, Simplicity, and Cub Cadet.

The carburetor diaphragm is part of older model engines where a secure seal is needed. This diaphragm is installed on the carburetor and will help to ensure maximum engine operation. The carburetor is responsible for creating and providing the air/fuel mixture to the engine, and there are many working parts that help to ensure that happens, including the diaphragm. In the event that the seal isn't as tight as it should be or the carburetor seems to be performing less effectively, it might be time to replace this part. Replacing the diaphragm will restore the seal and ensure maximum engine operation, as well as prevent further damage to other parts. Make sure to wear gloves when working on engine parts and always disengage the engine and allow it to cool completely before starting repairs. This genuine OEM replacement part is designed for use on Briggs & Stratton engines, including 3-5 HP horizontal engines. It specifically fits those with the pulsa jet carburetor from previous generations. This part is made to exact manufacturer standards and complies with all guidelines and emission regulations.

This is a replacement spring cap that will ensure the spring retains the correct position between the spring and the diaphragm. It is sometimes called a carburetor diaphragm spring cap. If there is an issue with the spring cap, it could cause issues with the placement of the spring, along with carburetor problems. The engine may not run properly, and it could be more difficult to start. Owners should check the spring cap if they notice issues with their engine, as well as during maintenance check-ups. In some cases, the spring cap could become corroded or broken, and getting a replacement becomes essential. The spring cap is a genuine OEM replacement part for small engines including lawn mowers, tillers, leaf blowers, generators, chippers, and log splitters. The cap is compatible with a range of brands including Craftsman, Toro, Briggs & Stratton, Cub Cadet, Lawn-Boy, and Simplicity.

This is an authentic diaphragm cover from the manufacturer Genuine Midwest Engine that is used for many different types of lawn and garden equipment. The diaphragm cover is used to provide an airtight seal for the carburetor. This, along with gaskets and filters, helps to ensure that there is not too much air getting into the carburetor. Over time, however, the cover could start to degrade and no longer provide the airtight seal that is needed. If this happens and more air gets into the carburetor, it could cause problems starting the engine and keeping it running. If this occurs, it will need to be replaced. The owner may also want to replace the gaskets when they replace the diaphragm cover. The high-quality replacement diaphragm cover is a genuine OEM part that is sold individually. The cover can be used for many models of small engines, generators, tillers, blowers, log splitters, and wood chippers. Certain models from the brands Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Craftsman, Cub Cadet, and Simplicity are compatible with the cover.

This screw is made of durable metal in a gold color. It is designed to be used in various lawn and garden equipment, including lawn mowers and leaf blowers. The screws can be used on their own or in tandem with a nut in a pre-drilled, threaded hole. If a nut is going to be used, it's best to choose a version with the same finish and threading as the screw. Over time, a screw can become damaged and may need to be replaced.Extremely hot temperatures, excess stress, and corrosion can all make the screw weaker, which can cause it to loosen, become brittle, and eventually break. Visually inspect the screw to see if any corrosion is present or the screw has become damaged or broken. If it needs to be replaced, a screwdriver can remove it and insert the replacement part. If the screw has been stripped, a bolt cutter can be used to take it out of its hole to screw in the replacement. This screw is compatible with Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Simplicity, Craftsman, and Cub Cadet lawn mowers, wood chippers, tillers, log splitters, leaf blowers, and generators. It is a single genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

This replacement grommet is bent at a 45-degree angle to create an elbow for the crankcase breather tube. Another name for the replacement grommet is a 45-degree breather tube. It is made from high-quality black rubber. If the exhaust smoke is coming out dark in color, the grommet may be cracked or damaged and need to be replaced. Another symptom of a faulty grommet is a reduction in mower performance. If the engine is backfiring, this could also be a sign that the grommet has failed. This simple repair doesn’t require any tools. It should easily fit into place without needing to remove any parts aside from the old grommet. Just attach the replacement grommet to the breather tube, connecting the crankcase to the carburetor. It is compatible with many mowers and other small engines manufactured by various brands like Briggs & Stratton, Cub Cadet, Simplicity, and Toro. This is a genuine OEM part.

Here is an authentic fuel pipe that serves as a replacement for many types of small engines including those on outdoor power equipment. The fuel pipe is made from metal, and it is used as a means to transfer fuel inside of the machine. If the pipe is not working properly, it may mean that the fuel will leak, or it will not be able to flow through to the engine. Even though the metal is durable, there are still problems that could arise. Perhaps there is a clog in the pipe, or there could be a bend. It might not fit correctly onto the machine. Regardless of the reason for the fuel pipe's problem, it is not something that the owner can ignore. They will need to replace the pipe as soon as they can. This is a genuine OEM part that is sold individually. The fuel pipe can work with more than 150 types of engines for machines such as lawn mowers, tillers, leaf blowers, log splitters, wood chippers, and other small engines. Compatible brands include Briggs & Stratton, Craftsman, Toro, Cub Cadet, and Simplicity.

This tube-pick up was created for three to five horsepower horizontal and five horsepower vertical engines with a two to three-quart tank and a pulse jet carburetor. As part of the carburetor, the tube-pick up moves gas from the float bowl to the main body of the carburetor. Sometimes the tube-pick up can become clogged up with particles and dirt, which makes it harder for gasoline to flow through it. This component can also become damaged or cracked, which means it will need to be replaced to operate the lawn equipment. Replacement requires removing the carburetor from the fuel tank, removing the tube-pick up and installing the new version. Carb cleaner may also be used in the process. This tube-pick up is a genuine OEM product directly from the manufacturer. It comes as an individual part and is made out of plastic. It is used for engines on leaf blowers, generators, tillers, lawn tractors, and lawnmowers by Simplicity, Briggs & Stratton, Cub Cadet, and Toro. A set of pliers may be needed to install the tube-pick up.

This replacement friction spring is a genuine OEM part meant for any number of small appliance engines run using a starter rope. This spring absorbs large amounts of kinetic energy that could damage the starter rope pulley system. It helps keep the pulley from being overstretched, which would create enough pressure to break the entire system. This spring sits at the center of the pulley system and creates resistance as the user yanks the starter rope. Friction springs can become worn out after repeated use, especially if a user tends to yank the starter rope quite forcefully. The most obvious sign of a worn of friction spring is if the pulley system lacks any resistance. As the user pulls the cord, they should feel a little pull back, but if the friction spring is worn, there will be much less resistance. Replacing this part is straightforward and will only require a screwdriver. Simply open the pulley system, carefully remove the old spring, and install the new one. This part is compatible with a wide number of appliances from Toro, Vanguard, Briggs & Stratton, and Lawnboy. It comes sourced from the original manufacturer and ships individually.

The bell crank link is a genuine OEM replacement part designed for use with certain small engines in lawn and garden equipment. Also commonly used in automotive engines, this metal link is used to connect the throttle to the carburetor and assist in controlling the speed of the engine. Over time, the link can become worn or break entirely with regular use, since it is exposed to constant vibrations and repetitive motion. When the link breaks or malfunctions, the engine will not run properly and there will be no throttle control. That requires a full replacement, which is easier than attempting a repair on a bell crank link. This genuine bell crank link is manufactured by Briggs & Stratton and designed for use on hundreds of engines for lawn and garden equipment. It can be used on lawn tractors, mowers, and other compatible units. The item is made from premium metal and requires a wrench, pliers, and a hex key to replace. Be sure the engine is cool and wear gloves during repairs to protect the hands. This unit is sold as a single item and does not include any additional components or hardware.

Firing up the lawn mower should be a simple act: hold down the safety bar, grip the hand pull, and yank the rope. What if nothing happens? The pulley works by tightening the spring, then letting it loose, creating compressed air and fuel at the same time the magneto fires the spark plug. It is rare to have an issue with the pulley spring assembly that starts the chain reaction and results in the engine coming to life, but it is possible for the part to fail. If there is a problem with the starter mechanism then it is typically the rope pull wearing out. Users will know when the pulley assembly isn't working either because there is no resistance when the rope is pulled or pulling the rope results in no compression (the engine doesn't sound as if it's turning). When it is determined that the pulley spring needs to be replaced, the user should examine the pull rope and handle to make sure those items do not need to be replaced as well. The most important consideration in replacing this part is to make sure the replacement is an OEM genuine replacement part, which will exactly match this pulley. The pulley is compatible with Cub Cadet and Briggs & Stratton engines.
