This magnetron generates microwave energy to heat food in compatible countertop and over-the-range microwaves. Replacing a worn magnetron restores cooking power and helps eliminate uneven heating or failure to heat. What it does:

  • Converts high-voltage electrical power into microwave radiation used to cook and reheat food
  • Common symptom: oven runs but food doesn't heat or heats very slowly
  • May also be needed if you notice loud buzzing, arcing, or burning odors during operation
  • Works with the microwave's high-voltage system; other components may also need inspection
What's included:
  • One magnetron (single unit as shown)
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and discharge the microwave's high-voltage capacitor before servicing
  • Inspect surrounding parts (waveguide, diode, capacitor, and cooling fan) for damage during replacement
  • Use only the correct replacement part number to ensure proper fit and safe operation
