Ice Maker Auger Motor Assembly
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: 12001773

Fixes ice dispenser not dispensing or auger not turning. This motor assembly drives the auger shaft that moves ice from bin to chute. Moderate difficulty.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The ice maker motor for the auger dispenser internal gears stripped   Paul D. • Swanton , OH • April 07, 2015

Replaced the motor, however not the easiest to do with the older refrigerators. First I had to remove the shelf that hold the ice bin. There is a small screw midway underneath the tray. Once removed the shelf is loose but still hard to remove. There is a side panel that is slotted andonce removed the shelf can then be removed, but not knowing that it is a very odd fitting unit. Then comes the unplugging which cannot be seen so it is all by feel. Once the shelf drops down the plug is now... Read more

Fan Motor
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W10860984

The Motor-Fan is an OEM component specifically designed for Whirlpool kitchen ranges. Located within the back wall of the oven cavity, the motor fan works to circulate air and remove excess moisture and smoke during the cooking process. Proper motor-fan functioning helps ensure efficient oven ventilation and performance.

Symptoms of a bad motor fan include:

  • Excessive smoke or moisture left in the oven after cooking
  • Oven taking longer to preheat and cook due to poor air circulation
  • Loud buzzing or grinding noises emanating from the fan

Causes of failure are normally wear and tear of motor windings or fan blade bearings from years of continuous use. Overheating can potentially reduce lifespan as well.

This OEM Whirlpool part is compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Microwave would power on, but no heat.   Mike P. • Monument , CO • April 29, 2022

I took the advice of another buyer and replaced the magnetron, capacitor, and diode from my microwave (make sure you discharge the capacitor). It was not a problem at all to do, I did find an excellent video on YouTube on how to test all of these components and almost anything else in a microwave. It’s called Microwave Oven Troubleshooting in Minutes- Step by Step by electronicsNmore. It was the best thing I watched. Turns out my magnetron was the only thing that was bad and it’s the most... Refrigerator Dispenser Motor Assembly
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP2252129

Ice won't dispense when paddle is pressed? This dispenser motor assembly drives the auger mechanism. Most DIYers complete installation in 15 minutes.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ice would not dispense could hear motor running   James B. • Julian , CA • April 17, 2017

When there was no ice in the bin, the auger turned, but with any ice, the auger simply stalled and could not push the ice around. Did not know where the problem was, but thought if I replaced the entire lower assembly (ordered a new motor, shaft, spring and coupler for the bottom part), that should do it. Took about 45 minutes from start to finish, but ice now dispenses fine as cubes or crushed. Read more

Evaporator Fan Motor (Blower)
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 131276200

This evaporator fan motor circulates cold air through the freezer and refrigerator compartments to help maintain even cooling and proper defrost airflow. Replacing a worn motor restores airflow and helps the fridge reach set temperatures more reliably. What it does:

  • Spins the evaporator blower to move cold air from the evaporator through the cabinet.
  • Restores airflow when the motor has failed, slowed, or runs intermittently.
  • Helps reduce uneven cooling, warm spots, and extended run times caused by poor air circulation.
  • May stop making excessive noise or vibrating when a worn motor is replaced.
What's included: One evaporator fan motor. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any service.
  • Access typically requires removing the freezer evaporator cover or rear interior panel—keep screws and small parts organized.
  • Handle evaporator fins and blower wheel carefully to avoid damage; check clearance and wheel alignment during reassembly.
