The spin cycle on my washing machine was not working due to a faulty door/lid switch Joseph D. • Mechanicville , NY • February 17, 2015
I ordered a door/lid switch kit and an actuator and replaced them both. I probably didn't need the actuator, but it probably didn't hurt to replace it. The only issue I had was that the switch didn't seem to fit that well when installed on it's own, along with the actuator. So, I used the plastic shield which I had, along with the switch and actuator, as well as the old screws, as the screws that came with the kit were not long enough to accommodate the switch, actuator, and...

Failed water level switch on 15 year old kenmore automatic washing machine John W. • Phoenix , AZ • March 28, 2015
Ordered the exact part from Appliance Parts Pros.com as their online catalog was better than the information available from any store here in metro Phoenix. The actual price was 30% less than what was quoted at the local parts store, and they couldn't even obtain the part for 5 working days.
I had the part in 3 days from Appliance Parts Pros. Installation was simple and the damaged wiring harness was repaired easily. Machine now works as new and is free of the mysterious GFI tripping...

This genuine OEM part is an outer tub for washers. The outer tub is the main tub where clothes are set to wash. If the tub is no longer spinning properly or is making a loud noise as it rubs against the washer, it will need to be replaced. Thankfully, replacing this part is a relatively simple process. To replace the outer tub, start by making sure the washer is unplugged. After that, remove the front panel of the washer. Once removed, lift up the top panel so that it is no longer covering the outer tub. Next, locate the mounting bolts that secure the tub and unthread them using a socket wrench. Once removed, lift the tub out from the washer. Replace with the new tub and secure the mounting bolts. Reinstall the front panel and plug the washer back in. This replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Whirlpools, Maytag, Kitchenaid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand washers.

Washer was "dead" with a partially washed load and would not do anything Jimmy M. • Hopewell , VA • September 19, 2014
Researched this kenmore washer on-line and found the problem to be the lid switch. Saw a diagram on how to jump this switch by connecting a wire to both outside wires on the harness and voila! It worked! This is not a fix but it allowed me to finish the load of unwashed clothes and told me which part was bad (do not run washer jumped like this.......fire hazard!)
Ordered the lid switch and it was an easy repair. A $14.00 switch was a lot cheaper than a $450.00 washer. Thanks appliance parts...

Kenmore washer timer and knob replacement fill hoses too Joseph G. • Clarion , PA • May 22, 2016
We tend to be intimidated by things we don't know or understand. Having said that, Appliance Parts Pros made tackling this repair easy. Replacement parts where an exact match and watching the videos (on this website or others) take you step by step. Appliance Parts Pros has helped me through the rebuild of our Kenmore dryer and now our Kenmore washer. Why pay for an appliance repair (or pay ridiculous money) for a new appliance? Spend a little time researching and it will pay off. I am...
