This lid switch is the user-replaceable electrical switch that detects when a washer lid is closed so the cycle can run. Replacing a faulty switch restores normal start, spin and agitation safety interlock function. What it does

• Prevents the washer from spinning or agitating when the lid is open.

• Release locking tabs and detach any hoses/nozzles from the old ring; transfer fittings if needed
• Seat the new ring evenly; ensure all tabs fully engage. Reassemble and run a test cycle to check for leaks/splashing
